Well, I hope everyone had a great 4th of July celebration. I sure did. Lots of family here to visit for the 1st time and we had a ball. The meaning of family is price lists!
Now down to business. I'm trying to catch up on emails and several things of interest have come up.
1. Over at Family Tree Magazine website they have a great list of sites that you can go to to try and find your ancestors military records. Some are paying sites but if you don't have an account with them then post your inquiry on your surname mailing list and you will probably find someone that can look it up for you.
2. There is a great new site just for genealogy research. It's called Genealogy Wise. They are a social site just for genealogists. It looks like it could be a great place to post your brick walls, connect with others searching the same names and of course offer your help to others as they offer help to you. I have only registered with them but will be looking closer at it. Check it out, you just might make a discovery!
